A New York City subway rider tried to rip a fellow straphanger’s “Make America Great Again” hat off his head in a tense exchange aboard a train but quickly paid for it when the dispute spilled onto the platform.
The two-part clip, shared last week, shows the woman berating the MAGA hat-wearing rider.
‘If you f**king voted for Trump you’re a racist,’ she is heard telling him as a man off camera says, “That’s why [Trump] won. That’s why he won — because of people like you.”
(@ngoc.3p_o)“How are you OK with that? He’s a racist,” she shouts back.
“How could I be racist?” the MAGA-hatted rider says.
Part 2 of the video shows the conflict escalating, with the woman telling the Donald Trump fan that “only an uneducated man” would vote for Donald Trump.
“Well, this is my stop,” the man says as he removes his red headwear. “I hope you enjoyed the hat.”
The woman then lunges at the man, trying — and failing — to grab the hat as the subway doors open, and proceeding to chase him onto the platform.
But after just a few steps, she face-planted as the MAGA fan’s companion taunted her.
The woman appeared to be OK, slowly getting up just before the video cut out.
