Looking for a new opportunity to jump into the world of Star Wars in video game form? There’s a new game in town, and it’s set to debut this fall. Star Wars Outlaws is a new adventure from Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft that’s set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The single-player third-person adventure is the first Star Wars game with an open world, and it looks to be an exciting new addition to the many we’ve had over the years.
As of April 12, you can pre-order Star Wars Outlaws on Xbox and PlayStation 5 at Amazon for $69.99. It comes with the Rogue Infiltrator Character Pack, which includes cosmetic items for both characters, Kay and Nix.
Star Wars Outlaws follows a (you guessed it) outlaw named Kay Vess (Humberly González) and her droid companion Nix (Dee Bradley Baker) as they work to pull off a massive heist. Their journey takes them across a number of familiar locations, like Tatooine, Akiva, and Kijimi as well as new ones like the moon of Toshara. This story-based adventure will let you explore massive areas and engage with other characters with branching dialogue trees. There’s also a number of types of combat, ranging from stealth to vehicular and space battles.
The game is scheduled for an August 30 release date, but you can reserve your copy now so you can dive right in when it comes out. If you’re a big Star Wars fan, it looks like you’ll have plenty of content to sift through once Kay and Nix’s open world journey finally hits store shelves.
